Founders Ice Skating Rink
Fountain Park, Rock Hill, SC
Saturday, November 20th – Sunday, January 10th
‘Tis the Season, whether we want to accept it or not, the holidays are upon us. Along with the holidays, comes all sorts of different family-fun activities. Founders Federal Credit Union, the City of Rock Hill, and the Old Town Association are excited for their opening of the Founders Ice Skating Rink. This real ice rink is going to be located at 205 Saluda Street, Downtown Rock Hill, so it will be close to all of the area’s holiday festivities.
Nestled adjacent to Fountain Park in the heart of Old Town, the open-air Founders Ice Skating Rink will open on Saturday, November 20th. It will be open through Sunday, January 10th, providing there is no unseasonably warm temperatures, excess rain or snow, making it unsafe for the participants. The hours are going to be Monday – Thursday from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Fridays from 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., Saturdays opening at 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. and Sundays from noon until 9:00 p.m. The times will vary some during the school breaks and on official holidays.
This ice rink, within an inviting winter wonderland atmosphere, will cost $10.00 to partake in, which includes your skate rental. There is plenty of room to stand and watch, all around the outside of the rink, for those who aren’t quite up to the challenge of ice skating. But hey, as they say, you’re not getting any younger, so why not give it a try! There will be a concession stand offering some tasty treats along with some nice hot chocolate to keep you warm.
